The signing ceremony was held on 11 May 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City, with BHMA represented by its CEO Anthony McDonald, and Ixora represented by its founder David Chang.

The exclusive 7-hectare eco-resort will be located on 650 meters of prime river frontage along the Coco River. The resort features 70 private villas with 2 – 4 bedrooms and private pools, and a hotel comprising 31 loft units and 56 suites. The property will incorporate a range of world-class facilities such as infinity swimming pools, a library, spa and health club, restaurants and bars, a canoe station, children’s play zone, and both organic and hydroponic gardens amidst the tropical landscaped grounds. The property’s commitments to sustainable and environmentally conscious design have earned it one of Vietnam’s first “Lotus Certifications.” Sales of the villas and lofts will commence in June 2018, while the first phase of the property is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2019.

BHMA is Flight Centre Travel Group’s hotel management company and is providing design input and operational expertise in managing the property. “We are very excited about X2 Hoi An Resort & Residence,” said Anthony. “Central Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing areas in Southeast Asia for tourist arrivals thanks to its array of attractions, beautiful landscape, historical townships, and a full range of activities. The property is located less than 30 minutes away from the airport, which has direct links to 25 major destinations across Asia, and more to come in the future. This particular part of the country truly provides the perfect opportunity for us to further establish and grow our presence here in Vietnam.”

According to the project developer Mr. David Chang, “X2 has quickly made a name for itself as one of the region’s premier boutique hotel brands. Its commitment to style and design and high standards fits perfectly with our vision for this project, which is to create an intimate, refined and tranquil environment that promotes wellness and holistic living. BHMA is the ideal partner to help us realize our goals.”

The X2 Hoi An Resort & Residence offer investors a unique range of lofts and villas that are designed to international standards and utilize materials, textures and palettes that complement the lush tropical environment. They provide the ideal setting to entertain family and friends as a second home as well as serve as solid investment.

X2 Residences are available on a freehold basis for Vietnamese and foreign qualified investors or alternatively on a secured long-term basis with freehold conversion rights. All owners have the option to join the hotel rental and management program run by X2 Residences, providing steady yield returns. With real estate values maximized by freehold rights to substantial plots of land with all villas for Vietnamese citizens or their foreign spouses, and a rental pool program which allows owners to enjoy high yields in addition to generous vacation use, this spectacular residence development has all the attributes to guarantee satisfaction and success.

BHMA Opens New Office in Indonesia for Hotel Management Expansion

[layerslider id=”16″]
Bangkok, 27 March 2018 – BHMA has recently announced the opening of a new office in Indonesia, marking a significant commitment to expanding the business further into one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing hotel markets. The Flight Centre Travel Group has been operating in Indonesia for several years having established travel and tour operations offices with a staff of more than 100 in Bali. It is anticipated that the hotel management division under BHMA will complement the Group’s current business activities in the country, taking advantage of Indonesia’s strong tourist arrivals record and projections for further growth.

BHMA will manage its Indonesian expansion from new premises in Sanur, Bali, close to the existing Flight Centre Office. Heading up the operation will be Mr. Clement Sebban, who has been appointed Country Manager for BHMA in Indonesia. Clement will be responsible for hotel development in Indonesia, including technical assistance, pre-opening and post opening operational phases.

Indonesia is a growing market and one of the key markets for our company, so having an office there can help our operations and allows us to respond to our clients’ needs more effectively,” said BHMA CEO Mr. Anthony McDonald. “The Group currently buys almost 400,000 room nights a year in Bali alone, so it is important for BHMA to find hotels and owners that want to maximize their hotel asset returns, and partner with us in the large business opportunity.”

BHMA will open the X2 Bali Breakers in the third quarter of this year. The resort is in the well-known area of Balangan Beach, south of Denpasar. This property will offer 60 private pool villas, 3 pools, a lounge bar, an all-day dining restaurant, spa, ballroom, and destination wedding chapel.

We are very excited about our expansion here in Indonesia, and I will be in focused on securing new hotel contracts in and around the Bali and Lombok areas,” explained Clement. “We will be approaching hotel owners who need improved performance, and leverage our huge demand for room nights in the region to offer them unique and exceptional solutions. To maximize returns to owners we will be looking for management contracts, leases, and co-investment opportunities. In parallel I will also be working alongside our GMs in the country as our hotel portfolio expands with new properties to deliver the high service standards and experiences for which our hotels are famous.”

At present, BHMA is targeting four more properties by the end of 2018 in Bali – two in operational and two under development. Looking further ahead, the focus will also be placed upon securing additional hotels and resorts in new destinations across eastern Indonesia such as Lombok, Sumba, Komodo Island, and Raja Ampat.

BHMA Expansion Showing Strong Results Across all Brands for 2017

Bangkok, 16 February 2018 BHMA has recently been pursuing a strategy of rapid expansion throughout Southeast Asia, and the recent release of key operating data for 2017 bears out the continued success of this approach. Most notably, the company saw revenue up 17% compared to 2016, which could largely be attributed to an increase in the size of the portfolio.

BHMA operated 16 properties in 2017, up from 12 in the previous year. These can be subdivided by brand: X2 Resorts – 9 properties (up from 8); X2 Vibe Hotels – 4 (up from 2), and Away Resorts – 4 (up from 2). The additional properties gave BHMA a boost in terms of management fees which made a significant contribution to revenue growth.

The operating figures for the 16 properties under BHMA management showed a notable rise in occupancy across the board, up by 20%pts on the previous year; the biggest increase came in the X2 Vibe category which enjoyed an increase of 31%pts in the latest reports, indicating a very positive customer response to this particular new brand.

For each of the three brands, an increase was seen in RevPAR for 2017 over the 2016 numbers, and ADR rose substantially for the X2 and Away Resorts. A slight decrease in ADR for X2 Vibe was offset in terms of RevPAR by the substantial rise in occupancy. More importantly, gross operating profit margins rose markedly overall by a healthy 5.5%pts, and GOPPOR increased in all brand categories.

CEO Anthony McDonald stated that he was very pleased to announce these consolidated results for BHMA, noting that the achievements were testament to the effectiveness of the strategy employed and the dedication of staff throughout the organization. “It is absolutely critical that expansion is made in the right markets with the right targets, and the latest figures indicate that we have been able to do precisely that,” he explained.

Looking ahead to 2018, BHMA is set to consolidate its current growth with further portfolio additions in Q3, including the X2 Vibe Hoi An Residence and the X2 Vibe Viet Tri Hotel, both in Vietnam, and the X2 Oceanphere Residence in Pattaya. Furthermore, a new office will be opening in Jakarta to meet the rising demand for the company’s services among investors across Asia.

New Away Resort in Kanchanaburi, Thailand for BHMAsia

Bangkok, 18 December 2017– Dheva Mantra Resort & Spa has appointed Bespoke Hospitality Management Asia (BHMAsia) to manage its well-known luxury resort under the popular Away Resorts brand, with operations set to commence in Q1 2018. Accordingly, BHMAsia this week announced the signing of the agreement with Dheva Mantra Company Limited to carry out the rebranding and management of the Away Kanchanaburi Dheva Mantra Resort & Spa.

The Away Kanchanaburi Dheva Mantra Resort & Spa is located on a secluded stretch of the famous River Kwai and offers breathtaking panoramic scenery. The resort boasts 104 spacious colonial inspired guest rooms, 3 restaurants and a bar, including one floating Thai Restaurant on the river, a swimming pool, gym and spa, and extensive meeting facilities making the property an excellent choice for leisure travelers and an outstanding venue for bespoke meetings and events.

BHMAsia Executive Vice President Alexander Wallace explains why the decision fits perfectly with the objectives of his organization. “Our Away brand has proved popular and successful in our resort properties already established in Thailand, and the Away Kanchanaburi Dheva Mantra Resort & Spa fits naturally into that portfolio,” he stated. “Kanchanaburi is a fast-growing destination with significant potential and the Away Kanchanaburi Dheva Mantra Resort & Spa will give BHM Asia the chance to serve this increasing number of visitors. While our overseas portfolio continues to expand, we still see Thailand as our primary focus.

The addition of the Away Kanchanaburi Dheva Mantra Resort & Spa represents the fourth Thai property under the Away brand, following Away Koh Kood Resort, Away Chiang Mai Phucome Villa, and Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort which opened this month as Thailand’s first and only four-star vegetarian resort.

This latest signing is a clear indication of the brand’s expanding appeal, and the BHMAsia Business Development team is now busy handling the growing interest. A significant number of enquiries have been received and there are several more projects in the Away pipeline to be announced in the near future, both within Thailand and Internationally.

Bangkok, 27 June 2017 – BHMAsia, Asia’s fastest growth hotel group, is proud to announce huge wins at the annual PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards, with the new X2 Hoi An Resort & Residence finishing first in three separate categories, and highly commended in a further four.

BHMAsia’s latest development, X2 Hoi An Resort & Residence won Best Condo Development (Danang), Best Housing Development (Danang), and Best Hotel Architectural Design, while gaining recognition for its outstanding design characteristics in Best Housing Architectural Design, Best Residential Interior Design, Best Hotel Interior Design, and Best Hotel Landscape Architectural Design.

Design is one major attribute BHMAsia can bring to any new development, and few epitomize the concept better than X2 Hoi An Resort & Residence, which combines modern design and world class amenities. The residence occupies a 7-hectare site with 650 meters of river frontage and an organic garden serving as a key landscape feature. The bow shape of the land and its riverside setting increase the positive feng shui energy of the site, while the natural environment will be further enhanced by applying environmentally sustainable practices to become one of Vietnam’s first ” Lotus Certified ” residences.

The residence offers 70 privately-owned Villas ranging from 2-4 bedrooms (144-323 sqm), and 31 Duplex Lofts with one bedroom (85 sqm) for sale, featuring excellent facilities such as infinity pools, restaurants, gym and spa. Almost every unit offers a river view or direct river access, and all have been thoughtfully designed to ensure privacy. The X2 Hoi An Resort & Residence is only 30 minutes’ drive from Danang International Airport and 10 minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hoi An. Vietnam’s Central Coast has recently seen extensive planning and infrastructure investment which has aimed to deliver upgrades to the road network, utilities, and Danang’s airport along with new golf courses and a casino close to Hoi An, standing the region in good stead to attract an increasing number of condominium or condotel projects. The coastal stretch from Danang to Hoi An is an outstanding beach destination and cultural center with significant potential for long-term investment in second homes and resorts – and the Vietnam Property Awards have duly confirmed X2 Hoi An Resort & Residence as one of the very best options available.

The property is set to open in Q4 2018, and more information is available at
